outsida
I just checked the latest version of iTunes and it is a universal binary. Can you guys running 10.4.3 x86 open as a native app or is apple blocking it too? domino
It works. Installed it since it was released. dont try to upgrade quicktime just yet. Anyway, you should already have the latest version from 8f1111. But when I go to iTunes/Preferences... all the tab icons have yellow squares around them, but I got the same problem in the beta version. Probably a driver glitch or something. It won't let you run it in Rosetta, meaning the Installer probably installs the appropriate one rather than a unibin, but this glitch didn't occur when running the beta version in Rosetta. No big dea, though. Hardly worth mentioning. You won't get the yellow, I think they call it "alpha blend", in safemode or vmware Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6650-itunes-602-is-a-universal-binary/#findComment-41171 Share on other sites
Templeton Peck
10.4.1 gets screwed again! So upgrade. 10.4.1 has lots of problems. 8F1099 had the best compatibility with PPC apps that don't require a G4. 8F1111a breaks a few PPC apps, but it's the most compatible overall because it's compatible with G4/G5 apps. At lesat that's been my experience. You should probably go with 8F1111a. Now go and get it. Templeton Peck
BTW: Don't upgrade iPhoto just yet, else you'll be forced to use it in Rosetta. Zero
Yes, it's a rendering problem. You won't get the yellow, I think they call it "alpha blend", in safemode or vmware It will happens only when running it natively. With rosetta, it render correctly.(BTW, you have to use /usr/libexec/oah/oah750 YourApps(Ex. /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes) to run it under Rosetta) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6650-itunes-602-is-a-universal-binary/#findComment-41254 Share on other sites

I wish there was some way for me to get 10.4.3 with patches for no NX/PAE processors in my hands. Can you help me? I got 10.4.1 and it works just fine (its fats but it gets 15.2% in the System Monitor) Is that natively? jfn
I'm using 6.02 and it works great for me. Just like the one in 8f1111, except no 'Apple Confidential' menu, no bogging down before it goes to the next track, and the ministore is there (though i immediately disabled it). I don't have the yellow boxes in preferences problem that others have had. Couldn't be better!
