Special-K
So I'm downloading Workstation 6, and I'm wondering if I could install OSx86 through VMWare. I've tryed the whole dual-boot method a bunch of times, failed miserably. I now turn to Workstation. Also, does Workstation work like Parallels or Fusion where you have the OS in it's own window? ~pcwiz
I am really not supposed to post too much following the advice of fellow members () but here goes: You can install OSx86 THROUGH VMware onto an internal hard disk or parition but not to an external drive. And yes, Workstation works like Parallels and you have the OS in its own window (pretty slow though). Special-K
Enough said pcwiz, lol, thanks a bundle. I'm sure your How To guide will help also, seeing as I just found it. ~pcwiz
Actually, and lots of people get it wrong, my guide is just for installing OS X onto VMware, not installing OS X onto a physical disk through VMware although you could do that as well with not too much trouble. Special-K
I'm pretty sure I just did actually. I found your guide for JaS 4.8 and I just used it for Kalyway 4.10. ~pcwiz
Well yeah, the ISO doesn't matter. I've had users install JaS, Uphuck, Myzar, Kalyway, Deadmoo and many others using the same guide. Its not very different other than the installation options screen.
