Yami Bakura
Which one do you use on your Mac and why? Also, which gamma would be better for the graphics card? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/66361-18-or-22-gamma/ Share on other sites
Threepwood
I use GammaToggleX to toggle between 1.8 and 2.2. 2.2 (Windows standard) is pretty dark, I find pictures to look better with 2.2 and also closer to print, while 1.8 makes the interface easier on the eyes. Yami Bakura
I use 1.8 AppleRGB Color Calibration profile on my MacBook and I like it the most out of the profiles. MacChief
Since I do some basic graphic/web design across both PC and Mac, I have done basic visual calibration on all my displays for a gamma of 2.2 and whitepoint of 6500K. (I'll get a real colorimeter one of these days...) Now I am quite annoyed when I see a monitor with messed-up gamma or the vile 9300K white point.
