filmmakerfx
okay, i installed v2 of koolkal from demonoid and when i installed it ended with please try installing again, but yet my os had been updated to 10.4.10, i checked the kernal and it was still 8.8.1, of course i restart and its {censored}ed up, checked verbose mode and the extension for intel something or another was a copy of pre-existing how can i fix this without reinstalling? i have an xp install on another partition in which i can view my osx partition and write to it if need be, i assume ill probably have to boot from the 10.4.8 jas cd i have and then use a flash drive to reinstall the update? help, thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65941-updating-from-1048-to-10410/page/2/#findComment-498720 Share on other sites
~pcwiz
If you have the previous extensions and kernel backed up then you can restore them using MacDrive for Windows but otherwise you're hooped. ~pcwiz
Copy the backed up kernel to the root of your HD, overwrite or rename the file to mach_kernel if needed. Next drag all the backed up extensions to the Extensions folder overwriting anything thats already there. ~pcwiz
Do it like you did before. Just set the XP partition as active. What kind of bootloader are you using? MilitantHippie
No, it's SSE3 only as far as I'm informed. Besides that, have you found it somewhere?
