SimonB
Dear guys, This is my first post here on this great forum. I am very impressed by the whole OSX86 issue. So I wanted to install an OSX version on my pc as well. I burned the JAS OS 10.8.4 AMD / intel sse2 - sse3 iso on a dvd. After that I fired up the installation, everything went nice till the next part that's called 'select a Destination' stopped the whole progress. Because there doesn't appear any destination drive or volume in the white area. See the next photo I made: I tried it several times on two different pc's and in both situations I got this same problem. I used the next systems: * pentium 4 1,8Ghz 512 mb ram nvidia graphics. * pentium D 2.8 Ghz 1024 mb ram nvidia 7600 GT Any help would be highly appreciated. thnx, Simon. Kelvin KC Chan
Nobody has a solution for this? No drive for the reason that your HD's format not for OSX, u must click Utility->Disk Utility to format HD to install OSX. Aetherius
i forgot to mention.. i've been trying to install the OSX on a Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop. as far as i know, judging by what vista shows me [some numbers] .. i figure it out the brand and model of my harddrive. it is a seagate momentus 160 gb, 5400 rpm. http://www.bigbruin.com/reviews05/review.p...s160&file=1 possibly it's because of this drive. i've been trying installing with jas 10.4.8, and uphuck 10.4.9 [1.4a] images. still nothing :censored2: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/65906-cant-find-destination-volume/#findComment-467791 Share on other sites
