Hi,I just ordered a new comp. It has a bad axe 2 (d975xbx ) motherboard.

This motherboard has sata 2 raid support on atleast one of its controllers and possibly both. I'm intending to implement raid 1 (possibly raid 5 at a later date.)

When I go to install osx will I be able to install to a raid partition ??

Will this require a special procedure such as a work around or will it work out of the box?

Has anyone done this? what are your thoughts/experiences and procedure if required?

Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere, I did have a quick search but didn't find anything.

Also will there be any problems when creating a raid 1 array with unequal drive capacities e.g A 300 and 320gb drive besides of course losing 20gb of space.

Thankyou in advance for your time and input.

i tried before with my AW9D-Max (just like your board). I have 2 raptors, i tried Intel's RAID, and even OSx's software RAID. I can install over the OSx's Software RAID, but when it boots, it said boot.plist not found ,some {censored} like that
