Jas 10.4.8 was running kinda slow so i decided to try out Uphuck 10.4.9a

seems to install great and quickly....then i get the restart of doom message

after the gray apple bootscreen.

anyone have any ideas as what might help me over come this issuse?

Hooray, I 've found the solution! ;) In my award bios, I went to SATA settings, onchip SATA, SATA only; operating in legacy mode. That got rid of the dreaded "couldn't set up diskarb sessions" hang at boot time!! Windows seems to work fine too!

I'm stuck too at the same spot (see above in Ebbot's post), installing Uphuck's 10.4.9 1.4i r3

 

[date] [time] mDNSresponder : adding browse domain local (that's where it hangs)

 

 

There's not much to find on this particular problem. I'll try Jas' 10.4.8 and see what it will bring.
