glassJAw
I want to run OS X + Windows Server 2003 and I would like it so I can connect to Windows Server through OSX native to see webpages/files. What Virtualization software do you suggest? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64748-virtual-network/ Share on other sites
~pcwiz
You can use VMware Server for Windows to install OS X on it, and with a bit of modification, you can configure networking and internet on it, if thats what you want. Download VMware Server: http://www.vmware.com/server/ My step-by-step guide for installed Mac OS X on VMware (screenshots included): http://######.com/software/vmwareosx86.htm Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64748-virtual-network/#findComment-460151 Share on other sites

~pcwiz
Oh, for that you can use VMware Fusion, Parallels Desktop, or CrossOver (Parallels and VMware are the BEST) Parallels Desktop http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/ VMware Fusion http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/ CrossOver http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64748-virtual-network/#findComment-460450 Share on other sites
glassJAw
Thanks, I currently have Parallels installed but it doesn't seem to communicate with OSX. I tried to remote connect to the IP that is found under IPconfig and it doesn't show up. typing the IP address in OSX doesn't find the Apache server that is set up on my Parallels Windows XP. Any ideas? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64748-virtual-network/#findComment-463492 Share on other sites
~pcwiz
Set the networking to host only networking (This is an option in VMware Fusion I think, don't know about Parallels) and install VMware Tools on the guest OS (Windows Server) or the equivalent of VMware Tools in Parallels.
