Special-K
I recently bought an 8GB flash (Corsair Flash Voyager ) and I remember hearing something about installing OSX86 on them so that you can bring it anywhere. How would that work? and How does one actually pull it off? Would you need to install any programs you need right to the flash? BJMoose
I installed OSX86 on a PNY 8GB thumb drive, not so much to carry around, but to use as an external boot drive so I can copy and restore images to and from my system drive with CopyCatX. It works great for that, but don't expect blazing speeds. And 8GB isn't going to be enough for CS3 or FCS2, but you can install MS Office and all the little apps you want. Now if by carrying it around you mean that you can access it on any computer you happen to be using, that won't happen. It still has to be a compatible computer, more than likely with very few differences from the original. The space saving size is the main attraction for this. Certainly a real 7200rpm USB external drive will be faster and more useful for actually using as a spare drive.
