CaptainNemo
Hi, I'm looking for an update (or 2) like JaS 10.4.9 and Koolkal 10.4.10, but for SSE2. My ThinkPad A31 runs nice with 10.4.8, but some appz need the 10.4.10, so I need the update :/ Is something available? justinstar77
last I checked there wasn't a 10.4.10 kernel for sse2. There is a 10.4.10 update, but it uses the 10.4.9 kernel. I haven't bothered going to 10.4.10 for that reason, and I don't know if that would work for you. If you check the green demon you should be able to find what you're looking for. CaptainNemo
Hey justin, thanx for the superfast answer. Well - unfortunally I've no access to the green demon :/ But I try hunting for other solutions. Maybe I can install everything I need (Quicktime especially - need it for Keynote presentations) with Pacifist. AntarcticP
Or you can just change some values in this plist: System/Library/Coreservices/Systemversion.plist Afterwards you can install iLife 08 and iWork 08 ... You can also install the new Quicktime without problems. Look at my answers in this tread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=60268 Succes, AntarcticP Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64375-1049-10410-updates-for-sse2/#findComment-455772 Share on other sites
CaptainNemo
Hey ho! Thanx for the answers. Meanwhile I understood, that the dumb not-shared superlarge 16MB ATI Radeon 7500mobile is a bit too slow for nice performance :/ For installation instructions, you can check my installationguide @ http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=53457&hl= Ciao Nemo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64375-1049-10410-updates-for-sse2/#findComment-457833 Share on other sites
ergosteur
Hey justin, thanx for the superfast answer. Well - unfortunally I've no access to the green demon :/ But I try hunting for other solutions. Maybe I can install everything I need (Quicktime especially - need it for Keynote presentations) with Pacifist. If you're trying to install iWork '08, all you have to do is edit the Info.plist in the iWork pkg to change the minimum OS version required to something like 10.4.4. Works for me, I've run it on 10.4.8 and 10.4.9.
