Frank Effe Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 Hi Guy, I've assembled this machine: > CPU Intel E6750 Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz > Motherboard ASUS P5K-SE with 4x1GB DDR2 800MHzof memory > Video Card ATI Sapphire Radeon X1650 with 512MB > HD S-ATAII Seagate 500GB > DVD LG IDE (P-ATA) > PS2 Keyboard > USB Mouse When I start the installation of my JaS 10.4.8 DVD, in verbose bode, the shell error reported is: Waiting on... IOProvideClass... IOResources... IOResourceMatch... boot-uuid-media... ... and, in loop screen printing this message Still waiting for root device You have an idea which it can be the problem? chasofire Posted September 23, 2007 Share Posted September 23, 2007 I got this error when attempting an install from a SATA DVD drive on my Bad Axe 2 board. It was resolved when I tried a PATA DVD drive. So, I would try the opposite of what I did, install from a SATA DVD or USB DVD. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
