Add Device ID to ATIRadeonX1000.kext

Hi,

 

I need to add my video card device id to the ATIRadeonX1000.kext file in order to get QE/CI support. My video card device id is:

 

0x71c1

 

Could somone please give me instructions on how to do this? I know it involves editing the Info.plist of the file....

 

Or, could someone prepatch the ATIRadeonX1000.kext file (/System/Library/Extensions) with my device id and post it up here?

 

Video info:

 

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1650 PRO 512MB PCIe

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 740N 17"

But I am really not good at this stuff. Could you prepatch the kext with by device id? Also, I have a question about that method in that link. The guide says about adding this ID:

 

0x71C21002

 

I don't know because my device id is:

 

0x71c1

 

And that device id that the person posted is longer than mine. Another reason why I need this prepatched. Also, the guide says that it only worked using 10.4.10 and the 8.10.1 kernel. I am using 10.4.9 with the 8.8.1 kernel.

 

Any thoughts?
