dshadows07
I've tried the uphuck 10.4.9i dvd version and a hotiso verion. Both of them say "Loading Darwin.." and then the machine restarts, I haven't been able to get past this stage. Intel Core2Duo E6300 AsRock Motherboard Nvidia 6600 LE 2GB DDR2 Ram 1 NTFS 40GB Drive (no os on it) 1 80GB Drive for the OS. Any ideas? Cheers. hecker
Are you by any chance using an SATA DVD-Rom drive? If IDE, then try connecting it on it's own port and setting it to MASTER. hecker Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/63856-osx-x86-dvd-wont-boot-for-install/#findComment-451838 Share on other sites
dshadows07
Nope Both HDDS and DVD Drive are IDE. Ill rearrange it and set both on their own channel. They already should be. Davejb
I had the same issue on one of my installs using uphuck, JAS 10.4.8 worked perfectly. Skitch Bryant
When i got that error i had to use gparted live cd to make sure the drive was flagged as a boot drive. Then it should work fine. If you are using disk util to partition you may have to use gparted to partition and format the drive then reinstall. Goodluck!
