Or are there FTP server that can communicate with an (personal)webpage plugin? I like to use my Mac as an Virtual NAS for my private network and if i am out i like to get some files via the webpage true the internet I hope my question is clear enough to get some answers.. Thanks in advance Mike
Headrush69
Not 100% sure what you are looking for. Many browsers support the FTP protocol and will display normal FTP sessions in a browser window. (Safari isn't one of them, and Firefox uses a plugin that uses a normal FTP GUI. You might be after something like this: http://www.jscape.com/articles/secure_ftp_server_web.html (only 1 of several options)
Rustig
Hi Headrush69, Thanks for your reply, i found Jscape, installed it and did not find out how to configure it and its not a lack of technical knowhow.. Its not as simple installed as is displayed on the website.. Your right, every webbrowser can connect via ftp://... but this is not what i was looking for I want to setup a website where my FTP application is controlled by, just like every NAS drive has.. Anyone else? Thanks Mike
