Technobob
I have never used Wesley patch but I have read about a lot of people having problems with it. I would recommend you use this patch http://win2osx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2351 This patch has never failed for me on all my systems and my friends systems. swisspeep
Try and disable native-usb-keyboard support in your bios. This may sound silly, but it worked for me... hobes
I have the same problem (I got it installed eventually), except rather than the trackpad it seems to be the keyboard and/or whatever USB devices are connected. Can't disable USB as I need it for the keyboard and Windows (dual boot). It promptly follows that with "Still waiting for root device". onixwj
Everything in this forum involves installing OS X on Intel x86-compatible hardware. To ask "how can I do <something>" in a forum whose sole subject is "how to do <something>" is likely to cause people to ignore you (it's barely more useful that prefacing your question with "I have a question"). Thus, when you join a forum about installing OS X on Intel x86 hardware ask "How can I install OS X," most people are not likely to listen to the rest of your question. Many people do not have time to read every post, so they just scan the post titles and read the posts that sound interesting or to which they believe they can add some helpful information. Your post title -- however well-intentioned -- is almost meaningless in this forum. If you asked a better question, you would be far more likely to receive a good answer. Are you the forum police or some sort of mod? No? Leave the modding to the Mods. Just for starters, the processer, ram, and are your mouse and keyboard USB or PS/2?
