DavidJavid
I used the tutorial here:http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...302&hl=ntfs I followed the steps, but I can't mount my USB drive anymore, nevermind automounting. I tried using Disk Utility already. I was able to read-only auto/mount it before. I tried the steps in the tutorial to restore the old mounter, but I get a "file or directory doesn't exist" error. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
Vasfed
you need old mount_ntfs, it seems that you have not saved it, so ask it from someone (i'm not near my hackintosh, if noone will post it before me and problem is still actual - i'll upload)
thegodfaza
You don't need to do all that to get read/write on external ntfs. Get Google's MacFUSE, install it. Then get the NTFS3G package and install it. Now all ntfs drives will mount as network drives with full read/write. Only downside is the icon is the network resource icon. bluedragon1971
Only downside is the icon is the network resource icon. Yes, but since you can now write to the drive, you can change it to whatever icon you like!
