WhiteNoise
Seem to have had this problem for a while, and have tried a lot of things found in the forum using as much of the search option and my own scrolling as I could. However, I have still not found a solution to my problem My dvd (or avi) will play for about 5 seconds, until the video player "closes unexpectedly" Running a Dimension E510, 1gb ram. Can't grab any more specs at the moment. Thanks for any help that can be offered, as I am now getting a headache. I just only want to have to switch into windows to update my zune & I haven't turned on ubuntu in a month. Dr. Hurt
Do you have QE and CI supported?! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62883-vcl-dvd-playerreally-anything/#findComment-445332 Share on other sites
WhiteNoise
Wow. That's the problem. I must have deleted a kext since I reinstalled, and it's not recognising my PCI slot. Currently, I don't have time to fix it, so I guess it will go unsolved. For those who have the same problem, all you have to do is download a few scripts that *should* or *may* add CI and QE to your Radeon x600. however, I don't have time to refind those links currently - just let you know it is possible.. In theory. Thanks for the responces. Helped a lot. Right now I'm just going to use xp and ubuntu until I feel like kext editing..
