As you can see from my Sig. I have a Gigabyte K8NS (AMD Socket 754, Nforce3 250) with onboard sound (ALC850 - works) and LAN (doesn't work).

Geforce 6600GT runs fine 'out of the box' using Titan drivers, QE/CI enabled, but listed as 'PCI' instead of AGP. Like others, I haven't been able to get AGP and QE/CI listed and working at the same time, but I see no real world performance problems.

I use an Intel D945GCCR motherboard. It works real nice 99% except for intel 10/100 pro ve LAN needs a little tinkering with to get functioning. (Info on that can be found on this board.) Solved it by installing an aftermarket realtek pci lan card.

The Intel is a nice clean board. But, if you're into overclocking... its definately not the board for you. I would go for ASUS for overclocking.
