HBP
curios.. what does that do <{POST_SNAPBACK}> it sets the type of computer osx is looking for, with AMD systems and some intel without sse3 it runs Much faster with the x86pc setting. adam21924
If you go to the Activity Monitor and kernel_task is using 99% (or some other rediculously high number) there is a certain kext you have to remove. I wish i could help you out more-- but all I can do is point you in the right direction. Note-- my kernel task uses approximately 2.5% of CPU after removing that kext. athlon64dude
look in the folder 'System/Library/Extensions' and remove 'AppleTPMACPI.kext', then reboot TPM is removed but that extension will keep looking for it, hince the high cpu usage Edited December 25, 2005 by athlon64dude Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/628-it-runs-very-slow/#findComment-38399 Share on other sites
