Blue_Mockingbird
I am looking to buy a cheap machine to run some windows apps (already mentioned in another thread - though they aren't low end apps by any stretch). I am planning on maybe trying a mini in the short term. Is this accelerator really any good? sarahbau
It's not bad. It will do fine for most things. The only time you might see a slowdown is in games, and even then it does better than I expected. My 2.0GHz MacBook can play WoW (at low settings) at over 40 fps. Blue_Mockingbird
Sarah, Thanks for the opinion. I am not a gamer, so I really can't assess that very well. Nevertheless I do appreciate your input. I do know the high end Macbook is the low end requirement for several art school programs should run the Adobe suite reasonably well, from my research thus far. There doesn't seem to be lots of people using the dual boot possibility with any of the configurations using this processor/accelerator. A Nonny Moose
Adobe crapware relies more on RAM than on the processor. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/62687-so-what-about-this-intel-gma-950/#findComment-444322 Share on other sites
