X-Ray Mac
My friend is using a refurbished iMac he bought from Apple around 4 months ago. 2.0 Intel dual core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 160 hard drive space if I remember. He's updated it quite often and not to our knowledge, has anything that should be slowing it down installed in it. Any ideas?..
A Nonny Moose
Clean out the username/library folder and reboot it (i.e. send it to backup). Then see if there is a speed improvement. Note this will reset all preferences, but it could very well be something in there.
