Hi,

i have two HDs.

One for Win XP and one for OS X only.

As most HOW TOs told, i first partitioned the OS X HD with WIn and all works perfect.

(default starts/boots OS X, IF i want WIn, i press F8 (in bios boot) and selct WIN HD before Darwin bootloader cames up)

Now Win has major startup problems, i cant get fixed by all my WIn-Tools.

I tried to install Win XP again (on Win HD, from WIN CD boot).

But very early there is an message:

WIn XP wants to write ( i guuess some MBR / Partition Info) on HD OSX

There is no WIN (FAT/NFTS) partition there.

You must have some win partition , first make it by repartitioning....

(upper messages not 100% 1:1, but in that meaning)

I know, that WIN XP is a bit critical, because win uses problematical

ordering of the C:,D:, E;.... depending from primary or extended/logical partitions.

How can i install WIN again, without touching the OS X HD.

I cant get any further as this messages obove (back to partition Screen - i dont want any changes on OS X HD).

Thanks

I will try that - was my first thougth too.

But maybe i get some problems - i hope win will not get mixed up WIN Volume names (win will see that partitions (MBR style partitions, but cant handle* them , because Filesystem HFS+ )

* I use MacDrive (Win drivers) after win installation to access the OS X HD - worked perfect.
