quixos Posted December 26, 2005 Share Posted December 26, 2005 i use the gma900 onboard video card for osX, and recently aqquired a x800gt pcie card so my nephews could play games in windows. since installing the card and updating to 8F1111a/g maxxuss v4, i'm having Quicktime crash, and Safari,Shiira crash while accessing the Quicktime page at apple, can't open Quicktime either. i'm searching for a way to disable the x800gt in osX, googling my fingers to the bones. i don't want to have to remove and install this x800gt card over and over again everytime i want to play a game in windows. any help or ideas would be appreciated. happy holidays at you all. quixos Posted December 28, 2005 Author Share Posted December 28, 2005 yeop, i did all that, no ati kexts, onboard video card selected, still quicktime crashed. the kexts were never loaded to begin with when using my onboard video in osX, yet somehow having that card plugged in confused Quicktime. so i took my x800gt out until drivers are released that support it as my primary video card on osX. i'll be building a new pc soon, so can do with my snes gaming and older games on windows until then.
