Colonel Ingus
We're going to be getting a older Mac mini soon. It will be the 1.66 model. What is the correct memory for it (DDR2 PC2-5300?) and what is the most memory that we can add to it? Thanks.
Synaesthesia
Look for DDR-2 667mhz sodimms. It can take up to 2 gigs, as far as i know.
sandmanfvrga
Somebody posted on here the Mini can go OVER 2 gigs, so look for that. I use Crucial memory and it runs great in all the things I have put it in.

Colonel Ingus
Does this look like a good deal? Somebody posted on here the Mini can go OVER 2 gigs Yes I saw that at the Apple forum, but I thought it was only for the new model of Mini. Someone said they got 2 1/2 gigs recongized in the mac mini. The thread i'm thinking about said it was 4 gigs, although it really only used 3gb. The extra gig did help, but not as much as you'd think.
sandmanfvrga
Yeah, you might not need the extra gig anyway. Newegg should be a good place to order from, I have ordered alot from them in the past.
