Hello. Even though, Apple's officially lists a lot of updates for 10.4.9 and 10.4.10, is there any significant advantage to upgrading from OSX86 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 or 10.4.10 in terms of stability, compatibily and performance? Thanks in advance.

. . . not beyond 10.4.9, which works fine.

10.4.11 will one hopes mend many of the things broken in 10.4.10 [uSB audio, to take one example]. In any event, it is best to wait until the Darwin source has been released for any new kernel [allowing folks to hack the thing to allow sleepstates via & so on] before updating.

Well, you need 10.4.10 to install iLife'08 and iWork'08.

That's the only reason I updated! But I have no problems and f.x. USB-audio working!

. . no, you need 10.4.9 for iLife08, & you can easily hack the iWork08 installer to allow installation to 10.4.9 [where it works fine].

. . here's a typical unsolved 10.4.10 audio bug. Applies to both USB & firewire input widgets, specifically those sold in Apple stores, leading to much fury.
