I'm seeing a lot of talk about the new hacked version of Vista (bypasses activation) called "Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x86 Integrated August 2007 OEM".

I'd like to install this on my white Intel iMac 24" using BootCamp and would like to know if it's safe. Will it update the iMac's bios? Will I still be able to run OS X like before?

it won t update your mac bios

the bios emulation is a software emulation so even on windows the bios remain unchanged

so yes you ll able to run osx as before

enjoy

Thank you guys.

I was able to install Vista OEM on my iMac (BootCamp) without problems. I can reboot and start OS X or Vista without problems.

I did find an annoying message at the prompt when I would choose to boot into Vista. I fixed this by downloading EasyBCD and re-building the MBR with it. (Not system fix or system rebuild or something called like that)

The message I was getting was:

"Warning: Unrecognized partition table for drive 80"

So for that message use EasyBCD
