neilg
http://pccyber.com/scrItem.asp?product_sub...roduct_id=13891 apparently it has both sse2, and sse3. 2.0 ghz. i'm going to check this note book out, and i would really love if anyone knew anything about it, it's super cheap and would work reaaaallly well for me if i went to school and got this. also wireless how hard is that to hook up in osx86 ? i've never used a sse3 chip, so my tests i wouldn't know, although i have a cpu comming for my computer soon. thanks -neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60659-via-c7%E2%84%A2-m-processor-w-osxx86/ Share on other sites
riws
This laptop has an unsupported Graphics Card Solution for osx, so Vesa for it only. And VIA CPU's had always SSE incompatibilities , I don't know what, but they got always kernel panics. Had one Laptop with it, tested it, got nowhere, so Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/60659-via-c7%E2%84%A2-m-processor-w-osxx86/#findComment-430789 Share on other sites
Dr. Hurt
I don't think it will work. You'll need to patch os x with the cpuids. Maybe netkas or semthex already did that but I really doubt it. I think the current kernel only works with AMDs and Intels. Anyway, get a laptop with an intel processor for best compatibility and performance. mmmrks
Some guy got OS X working on his OQO e2 http://www.techradar.com/news/computing/oq...lest-mac-337876 Which has a 1.6GHz VIA C7M ULV. If it's legit, and he dishes details soon, there could be your answer. Andy Machead
tried OSX86 with my HP 2133 mini-note unfortunatly its a no go. I would have loved to run OS X on this bad boy, but I guess ill be stuck with Vista for the time being.
