thegodfaza
I previously installed OS X86 and had no network connectivity. I posted in this forum here. The solution worked. Now I have reinstalled the exact same image and I was setting up the network when I couldn't find the tulip.kext for my card. So I am stuck with no internet for now. So could someone post the tulip.kext for the Realtek RTL8139. Thanks. thegodfaza
My IONetworkingFamily.kext has the correct device ID thingy which is 0x813910ec so I need the networking tulip to make it work. By the way my lan is onboard, not a PCI card. thegodfaza
BUMP Anyone have the kext or know where to get it. The tulip.kext's on this site don't support Realtek. delish
The problems I had with a Realtek 8139 based card, was that more than one kext had a pci match for it, RealtekR1000.kext has ID match for it but wouldnt work for me, AppleRTL8139Ethernet.kext works fine when alone. With both present, I got a higher Build-in Ethernet X number each time I clicked Apply now in system prefs network. thegodfaza
OK, I found the right networking tulip and installed it but I still don't have a connection to the internet. OS X just tells me to make sure the ethernet cord is inserted but if it wasn't I wouldn't be writing this now.
