moonislune
I've got the stock Intel board with built in gma 900, but I'm limited by the single ide controller on the board. Is anyone using a PCI IDE card to add more drives to their system, and WHICH ONE? I'd like to install OSX to a HD on an PCI IDE controller instead of my main drive but I haven't been able to find any info on the forum. Thanks for your help! enb14
If I were you I'd buy a SATA hard drive and install osx on it instead of buying a PCI IDE controller because IDE is slower compared to SATA. miranda363
If you have a spare HDD you could try an ATA to SATA converter if your board supports it I had good results with one I tried and a WD1200BB Edited December 23, 2005 by miranda363 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/6041-pci-ide-cards/#findComment-38142 Share on other sites
