Microsoft releases Virtual PC 7.0.3

Two years after the last iterative release, Microsoft has finally updated Virtual PC -- the environment for running Windows applications on PowerPC-based Macs -- to version 7.0.3. The update fixes vulnerability that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code. It's not clear whether any other fixes or enhancements are included in this release, which is available as a 16.7MB standalone download. Looks like Microsofts "Me Too" mentality is still alive and well  They stopped supporting this program until they saw how many people were using programs like Parallels/VMware. Microsoft is in deep denial if they think that Virtual PC is anywheres as good as Parallels/VMware ;)

Nice. This seems to be a nasty cut/paste job from VT's comments, though...

For a PPC user, though, VPC is the ONLY real option for running Winders. This update isn't for Intel Macs and it won't work on an Intel Mac (but then again, Parallels won't work on a PPC Mac).

Again, for a PPC user, THIS IS OUR ONLY CHOICE.
