antst
Hi! I have and idea, about reason for this annoying mouse tearing. I just checked right now details about my graphics card, and see that OSX reports that "backing store" is absent. Absense of "Backing store" is, in principal, can be responsible for artefacts and tearing. So, just to make sure, I need to collect information (even if you don't have this problem, post your info here!) Please, can you, check on your OSX86 install next thing: 0) You need installed XCode 1) Go to Developer/Applications/Graphic Tools 2) Start OpenGL Driver Monitor. 3) In menu choose "Monitors"->Renderer Info 4) In opened window choose your graphics card and look for "backing store", then post here value of this parameter. Don't forget to write also do you have or not mouse tearing. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59761-solve-mouse-tearing/ Share on other sites
jupitersmoon
Personally, I'll put up with the tearing if my card is functioning. but your question doesn't quite make sense if some people are fixing this issue with mouse drivers. I have mouse tearing if my card is recognised but not if im on standard VGA. I'm battling with audio alc880 and mobility x1600 at the moment, i was planning on looking in to the tearing after i sorted those out.so i'll keep an eye on your post. Hakemon
i have tearing with my motherboards onboard video (whatever the hell it is, PC Chips M963G), just with VESA 3.0. For me, I need some kind of double-buffering if possible..
