.aero
I've been playing around in Illustrator for a few days now but can't seem to find out how to make hollow circles! Anyone know how to? DiaboliK
i dunno illustrator for beans but i figured it out in less than 5 minutes : heres how: -press the rectangle tool, hold for a sec and select the ellipse tool -create your circle -now in the upper left hand corner theres the fill and stroke of it - first box select the one with the red backslash, second box select your stroke color - third field next to color is stroke width - increase that to get wider "borders" screenie: Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/59339-hollow-circles/#findComment-422808 Share on other sites

fagosu
My way is a little longer, but I kind of like it: - Select the Rectangle tool and hold to get the ellipse tool - Draw your outer edge circle - Draw ANOTHER smaller circle inside of it to get the inner edge - Use the align palette to center both circles - Select both circles - Open the Pathfinder palette Window>Pathfinder or SHIFT+CTRL+F9 - Select the "substract form from surface area" icon, it's the second icon from the left in the top row - You now have a hollow circle that you can fill with any color, pattern, gradient or image you like.
