CRT's are stupidly dangerous and you shouldn't mess around with them unless you 2000% know what you're doing. And even then, don't be stupid to try this by yourself. Indeed true, unless you have a gutted iMac G3 laying around you should NEVER open a CRT monitor of any kind.
