Amazondani
It is possible to install 10.4.3 from 10.4.1?? I could get 10.4.1 working on my machine, and I was wondering if it's possible to install 10.4.3 by moding some files in the system, and instaling 4.3 from an iso image on Hard disk. Please, I can't disable USB on my notebook, although i saw on 10.4.3 HCL a person with a Pentium M Banias with a working 8F1111 and 8F1099 Thanks in advace! mmk
It's not possible to install mac os x in vmware (or at least I couldn't). But in native mode works fine. First be assured that you have a primary partition with HFS+ (AF partition type if I am not mistaken) - you can use the partitioner from win xp to do this (in command prompt) Then, just boot the install DVD and install I had success with all the versions that I tried - 10.4.3, 10.4.4, 10.4.5 Here is one trick: my DVD drive did not read well the DVD, so I moved the hdd to a desktop and install it there (using a USB connector). After install, I moved back the HDD on laptop and booted with success. Good luck! ZepFloyd
On the D600 the skinny is this... VMWare: NO! Period. D600 is built on the Banias Core which has broken PAE support. Anyone who claims it works, lies, or doesnt know what core they have. NATIVE INSTALL: YES!!! I am using it now right now (10.4.6). Everything will work, except for features of the video card, which is still under development. Be sure that after it installs you set the partition to active or you will be greeted with a lovely b0 error. Amazondani
SepFloyd... What is the chipset your Notebook has ??? I'm Starting to think that can be something related to my chipset, witch is a intel 855PM without on-board video, or might be my Combo drive(that can't record faster than 8x, but suports 24x). Can you give any light, on how to get OS X working ?? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5877-pentium-m-banias-14-ghz/page/2/#findComment-149216 Share on other sites
