bump.

does anyone have it?..

I've just upgraded to 10.4.10 and and I had to manually replace the system.kext to 8.10.1(one that I found on another thread) but now my OS X won't boot.

anyone save me? :)

I assume you still have your old system.kext backed up from the 10.4.10 update.

So what you will need to do is copy it from ROOT to /System/Library/Extensions

boot into single user mode (type -s when selecting your OSX partition in Darwin)

then type:

fsck -y

mount -uw / (dont forget to type the SPACE between 'w' and '/')

cp -R /System.kext /System/Library/Extensions/

if you get any messages back on the last command (eg. read-only) then you typed something wrong in the second command.

Hope that helps :)

If you post your email ill send you my 10.4.10 system.kext.

o {censored}.

nevermind. I just screwed up the whole thing up :D

I re-installed Jas 10.4.8 then i tried to upgrade again but i decided to install the 10.4.10 gfx package too.

Now it won't boot even after another re-install... SIGH.

I guess i'll just have to whip it out and start from scratch again :(

But can anyone recommend me an update package from 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 or 10.4.10??

I WAS using 10.4.10 delta package by netkas and PascalW but then non of my images would mount.

any help is appreciated.
