    Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

Check my post out. I was able to get it working by installing just the ATI kexts from 11c37.
  2. Ever since I updated to 10.6.8 and 10.7 my Radeon 5870 w/ Eyefinity 6 has only been working with passive display ports, limiting me to 2 displays. I finally got it working this morning with a little help from sweaty's post here (which pointed me at netkas's post). I went and downloaded the developer's version 11c37 and attempted to install it, but my system KP'd during the installation and then would not boot. I re-installed 10.7 to get my system up and running again. I realized I only needed the ATI kexts, so I used Pacifist to extract out the ATI kexts, used Kext Helper b7 to install them, restarted and everything was working!! Like I mentioned before, I have a 5870 with Eyefinity 6 (ALL display ports), but it seems like this method should work with anyone else having troubles with their display ports. (don't forget you need active display port adapters for anything beyond the first two monitors!)

I installed that and got a kernel panic. On booting I now have the error ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start waitForService(resourceMatching( AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out Then another kernel panic. My system will not boot, not in safe more or anything.

I having this same issue. Is there a way to fix it?
  5. I want to smack you in the face for that stupid music.
  6. I'm at the same point as you. I've tried installing the 10.5.6 seatbelt.kext many different ways. Via OSX86 Tools, manually, through kext helper. None of them work. Booted with -v -f, without it. Nothing is working.
  7. I have the same issue as you. No version of seatbelt.kext are working.

    A few post install questions

Not sure about the wireless drivers. Updated with Combo updates doing the proper terminal commands beforehand (search for them, something like "do while(1); rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/Appleblahblah.kext;done") For the BCD bootloading, change the Darwin timeout to 0 seconds. It'll streamline things for you.
  9. Thanks! That fixed the mouse issue! When I uname -a I get: Darwin TehFatBatzOSX.local 9.6.0 Darwin Kernel Version 9.6.0: Mon Nov 24 17:37:00 PST 2008; root:xnu-1228.9.59~1/RELEASE_I386 i386 I updated with the 10.5.6 Combo Update, running Vanilla Kernel and PC_EFI v9.
  10. I have the 9.6.0 kernel and seatbelt from 10.5.6 installed, but I still get kernel panics when I try to mount any DMG or ISO. Specs: GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 (set to AHCI mode) MSI Nvidia GT 8800 Intel 2.66 Core 2 Duo Also, I get the 'mouse lags when iTunes is open' error. Any idea on how to fix either of these?

    Auto Detect Display/HDMI/8500GT

I unplugged the cable and plugged it in to the other DVI port and everything seems to work fine. I only have one monitor, so it works for me.

    MegaMan App

I guess, I use it all the time. Since I usually "hide" apps instead of closing them out all the way it doesnt play often. Plus, I'm a huge gaming geek, that might factor in

    MegaMan App

its a small application that just runs in the background. whenever you open another program (ex: safari) it plays the intro video/song from megaman, but instead of a megaman logo, its the icon of the application you are opening. here is a site explaining it somewhat, but as i stated before, the link they include is no longer available (404) http://www.osxcode.com/2005/08/04/megaman-os-x-app-launcher/

i downloaded this app a while ago, but it seems to have disappeared off the 'net. thought i would throw it up here to see if anyone was interested. http://time4pbandj.com/megaman/ ^^^ if you dont want to register download, extract, run and let sit. open up other programs to see them come alive true mega-man style. note: make sure to have the volume WAY up MegaManEffect.app.zip
