Well I have noticed that some versions don't have backwards compatibility so what works on 10.4.7 doesnt necessarily work on 10.4.8. I was wondering what version of OSx86 I should get. Here are my comp specs.

MBR : ASUS P5L-MS

SOUND : INTEGRATED P5L-MX

VIDEO : INTEL GMA 950

ETHERNET : ATTANSIC L1 & D-LINK DFE-530TX

CPU : CORE 2 DUO

Anything else you guys need just ask me. I just need to know which version will give me full out-of-the-box support or out-of-the-box support with an easy fix. Thx.

But do you guys think any of the previous problems I've had with DFE-530TX and Attansic L1 will be fixed in these newer versions, because to tell you the truth I don't want an OS that has no internet because for me that would be really dull.

Is this a desktop or laptop? If desktop you can a pci ethernet card in that's supported.

It depends on what chipset they use. Some realtek, broadcom and atheros ones do. OSX86 is a hack so you can't expect everything to work, so choose your hardware carefully. Read the wiki and the genius bar threads on wireless solutions.

You can always dual-boot to windows, which should work 100%...
