alvin777
Hi. It's great if we could centralize all the patch and updates for OSX86, the hackintosh. Is there any project that is equivalent to Apple's Software Update utility? This will make updating drivers, the OS itself (security updates compatible for the hackintosh) and patches. Neilis
I want a gentoo/debian-like package management-gui for hakintoshes! kernel updates, drivers, hackintosh specific tools (like temperature monitors and so) Well, it's not hackintosh specific, and it's not GUI, but we do have fink . Kinda like apt-get or portage but it gets and installs Unix software on the Mac .
Phoenix BIOS
It'd be sweet to create a hackintosh cvs server that could be sourced into fink. All we'd need is bandwidth and expertise. I have neither but I'd imagine that this would be trivial for someone who knows debian tools. Instructions exist in the fink FAQ for pointing fink toward the unstable tree; adding a hackintosh tree would seem simple enough.
