razor1394
I tried installing and booting from an usb hdd but it won't boot even though I select to boot from usb. My grub loader on my main drive was left untouched. It installs fine however. I've ordered an expresscard eSATA expansion card and will try installing to my eSATA hdd. My only succesfull attempt in seeing the drives was with the Tubgirl 10.4.10 release. XaD
Guys and Gals(if any) the Link to nforce sata forum is this http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...5985&st=860 search for ghakazian posmewhere on page 46 or 45 i dont rem exactly the link to create ur own dvd with the the modified sata drivers : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...rt=#entry222574 For me this is what i did 1] Took the image of tubgirls latest amd release and modified the driver packages to be loaded ..(its given how to do it in the forum link i have posted above plzz go thru it). i used my desktop installation to do the modification... 2]then i installed the os on laptop the steps for installation is same as any other hackintosh installation..remember you have to place those drivers in the ioata something.kext and delete the drivers already present in the extensions folder and remove the nforceata.kext from the plugins section of the ioatsometihng.kext ..plzz refer to the thread i have posted above firsttt. 3]after installation the stuff tht work are camera, touchscreen, sound 4]to get the network going u have to first edit the forcedeth driver info.plist add ur network card device id into it.. 5]then u will get the lan card working or atleast reecognised. 6] for wifi card to work installed a package posted in this thread http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=23684 there is a package somewhere at the bottom of the first page of the thread install tht fix permissions delete the extensions.mkext and cache file in the /system/library/ folder repair permissions..restart then edit the networkpreferences.plist in the /library/preference/system(i dont rem the file name exactly) you have to rename the en0 entry for the lan card to en1 and for the wifi card from en1 to en0..thts it then again restart you will get the wifi working tooo 7]for the touchpad to work properly remove the trackad plugin inside the appleps2.kext file in the extensions folder..delete the extensions.mkext and cache file again repair permissions and reboot u will have the trackpad working tooo Sorry for a rough guide i hope some one can place it properly to the community.. Note: Plzz install the newwest bios for the laptop tht is the f18 version ... And it goes without the saying m not responsible if u fry ur laptop or turn it into a useless piece of paperweight... do it at ur own discrettion The sata drivers are not tht good sometimes you maty get errors or there might be crashes as it is only pio mode driver so if u are gonna do some disk intensive work then plzz waith till proper relase of drivers come thru..(though i havent got one) REmaining work to be done proper graphic drivers stuck at 1024*768 t we can use macvidia to get resolution change (if anyone gets how to do it plzz post it) proper sata drivers in development thnks to ghakazian. a calibratiion tool to calibrate the touchscreen.. tool to rotate the screen and proper coolandquiet drivers for amd for laptop battery display and other stuff get laptop powermanagement bundle some where in this forum i had mine copied from jas 10.4.8 disk... Hope m not forgetting anything Once agaiin cheers to ghakazian... El Massman
has anyone had a look over at the osx86scene forums? there seems to be something called NVinjectgo under development which is for mobile geforce cards and has the device id's for the 6150 in it. i'm not registered on that forum but as far as i can see, no one has tested a 6150 under it. has anyone here tried it? as far as i can tell, proper graphic card drivers are all we're missing besides fully functional SATA. eldok2
well, I am another tx user. I have tried with uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4a I can see the disks, but when I try to format them, the disk utility hangs really hard. I've installed it to a usb hd, the only things that worked ok where the bluetooth and the sound. (can't remember exactly what I choosed. dk exactly if the webcam worked out of the box, 'cause the first time osx started got a blank screen. I'm testing different things to see if I can get our broadcom up and our nforce lan up. When I achieve this, gonna try to copy the partition to my internal hdd and fix it with that bloody mcp51 kext for nforce sata. I've tryied to use the nforce mobility driver, no go. Gonna see if another one goes ok. If I can get anything else up, gonna let you know. Good luck to everyone there who tryes with this lovely machine. eldok2
Well, I've just tryed the network kext, and the sata kext. I am happy to announce you that the net kext works ok. About the SATA, well, It seems to be working ok, but haven't tryed to install osx to the internal hdd. I leave you here the Kext Helper (Kext Helper b6), for installing kext's, the nforce4 ethernet kext (forcedeth-nock.kext) and the (still unstable) sata kext (AppleVIAATA.kext 2). Be carefull when using the sata kext, as this kext is under development, and it can cause damages on your hdd If you find anything else, please post it. I can't manage to get the wireless to work, and also the GeForce Go 6150 Kext_Helper_b6.zip AppleVIAATA.kext_2.zip forcedeth_nock.kext.zip Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/58233-hp-pavilion-tx1000/page/2/#findComment-468447 Share on other sites

welio
Hi, everyone! I succesfully managed to install tubgirl on my tx1020, on USB drive. configured ethernet with forcedeth, and wireless with the package linked few replies above... all worked but after the configuration of wirless i've noticed that the system is very slow responding to some events, like the magnification of the bar icons, or the appearance of menus. before the installation of the wireless, it was very quick... any clues? thanks a lot. kid_icarus
Ok...First post here..but I have 10.5 (Leopard) running on a tx1220 from an external USB drive. I used the ToH release, had some issues with booting and a kernal panic, but its all straight now. I would love to have this work from the internal HDD but in the meantime I have yet to deal with: -Nvidia 6150 drivers -sound doesn't work -SATA seems to work...kinda...I can read and write, but only the first partition as far as I can tell...couldn't install to internal HDD -no wireless or lan I am going to try to straighten these issues out, and I'll post if I can get it going good. If anyone has any suggestions as to fixing these problems please let me know.
