I have been a Mac user for almost 20 years, and I currently enjoy an iMac Core Duo 2 GHz 20". I kept reading about this OSx86 and after lots of searching I picked up a Biostar 945G Micro 775 SE and an E4400. I received everything but the RAM and got it all assembled. I expected the board to at least beep at me with no RAM, but it would not. A couple days later I got the memory, installed it, and it fired right up. I booted JaS 10.4.8 AMD/Intel SSE2 SSE3 Install DVD on the DVR-111d and installed on my SATA drive with GMA950 driver, 10.4.4 loginwindow, and Intel packages without a hitch. Upon boot, video, LAN, USB/USB2, all worked fine. The sound I had to figure out with some more searching, but it was not long before it was working as well. I do not yet have a SPDIF header, but SPDIF out does appear in the Sound System Preferences, so I think it will work. I have overclocked the E4400 to 253x10 totally stable. I keep it at 249 so my ram runs at 840 and FSB is 1 GHz. I found a FireWire card in another PC , popped it in, and it works fine, but has high-pitch sound when machine is shut down and there is a device attached. It has TI chip, I think it is a Belkin. Ran the 10.4.10 update from netkas and PascalW including 10410 graphic kexts, then replaced AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext with old one to get video resolutions back.

I got totally irritated with Windows giving me NTLDR is missing no matter what way I installed OSx86 and XP on the same drive. I am waiting on a second SATA drive to see if it will play nice on another drive. I am pretty sure it will. Who needs Windows anyway?
