JeroenJ
Hi, I've been trying to install mlDonkey via MacPorts for some time now, but I still can't get it to work. First time I tried it took about an hour, but afterwards I saw it installed all packages that were needed for mlDonkey, so that was fine. But now it needs to install mlDonkey itself, but it won't install, I'm always getting this error: ---> Configuring mldonkey Arguments to configure: '--prefix=/opt/local' 'CC=gcc' 'CFLAGS=-O2' 'LDFLAGS=-L/opt/local/lib' 'CPPFLAGS=-I/opt/local/include' 'CXXFLAGS=-O2' checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no checking for suffix of executables... checking for suffix of object files... o checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes checking for gcc option to accept ISO C89... none needed checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E checking build system type... powerpc-apple-darwin8.10.0 checking host system type... powerpc-apple-darwin8.10.0 checking for sed... sed ------------------------------- Checking system tools. -------------------------------- checking for ranlib... ranlib checking for gmake... no checking for make... make checking if make is GNU make ... yes checking for bzip2... bzip2 checking for gzip... I've looked for the ocaml packages, but it is installed, I have version 3.10.0 installed, should that be the problem, and if so, does anybody know how to fix it ? or is it another problem ? Thanks in advance, JJ If this needs to be in another section, please let me know, it might belong in the Programming section, but I don't think so
johnniecarcinogen
I'd try the intel .dmg here: http://caml.inria.fr/distrib/ocaml-3.09/ X11 and xcode needed ofcourse.
