thefighter
I must've used about 15 disks (no exaduration) trying to get the DVD of 8f1111 working, but still no luck. I need help big time. I thought I had patched everything correctly, I made my iso back into a dmg file (accidently deleted it) and then I added the files etc (I added Extensions, Anti-TPM and CPUID kernal to be exact). Went into UltraISO and converted to ISO, burnt to disk, and it didnt work again!!!! What do I do!!! I give up! Ive read everything I possibly can and I just dont get it anymore, theres nothing that I can think of to explain it. Also, somebody telling me how to work TransMac would help! lol Please guys, I need your help! Thank you in advance TheFighter EDIT: Perhaps because im having to switch from ISO back to DMG, that has made a corruption somewhere? Im going to start to try and download 8f1111 again, whilst I wait for your thoughts. Hopefully somebody has an explanation and can help me, thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5722-need-help-desperately-on-8f1111/ Share on other sites
silverline
check the md5 of all ur iso's. though it took forever to boot the DVD i used JaS 's patch. try adding -v at boot to see what is happening or if it locks up. suggestion dont goto 8F1111 if u dont have SSE3 proc as it has to many noticible problems. thefighter
Its not so much checking them with md5, I just need to know how to opperate Transmac, because I have the original file (converted into an ISO, but still intact) and then I just dont know how to patch things onto it. I have a sneaky suspicision that its because ive converted the DMG to and ISO and back again to a DMG (the main reason for this suspicision is because when I downloaded the DMG it was 2.8GB and now its converted its 4.3GB). Ive also tried that -v thing at boot up, I typed in mach_kernal.cpuid -v which should load up the kernal, but it doesnt it goes back to the coutdown message you get when inserted. Also, I have an AMD 64 X2 3800+ so SSE3 is not a problem. cyrana
All I've ever done in transmac is literally drag and drop the files to the location walkthroughs or FAQs say to. Also, I usually just take dmg to iso, and then edit w/transmac, and then burn that .iso directly. Although the .ppf patches floating around are easier for most people. thefighter
Did you open the DMG or ISO and then drag and drop? Burn the ISO through Transmac? thefighter
Just tried burning the ISO through Transmac, same thing happens just the same as what happened when I burnt it through Nero. The prompt comes up, press F8, type in "mach_kernal.cpuid -v" and it goes back to the prompt, it doesn't load the kernal. I think I will try burning it through UltraISO now. thefighter
As suspected, didn't work when I burnt it through UltraISO either. I need help, I feel like a one man topic. Victor Gil
If the ISO image is UltraISO, you better get the original file again because UltraISO only save the x86 part of the original image, then when you get it use the JaS patch to install it, it's like 20 mb size. that was how i get to install OS X on my machine. thefighter
Yes, but I dont want to install stuff I do not need. Like the SSE3 emulator, which will slow it down alot. I have a Pentium 4 with SSE3, and i can assure you there is no downgrade in performance. thefighter
Hm....well, my stats are: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ ASUS A8N-E Motherboard 1GB (DDR400 I think) Maxtor 6L250S0 SATA (Details here: http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx...ationKey=0&v=2 I think thats it, lol) Sony DVDRW DW-Q28A Nvidia GeForce 6600 Nvidia nForce Audio Nvidia nForce Networking Controller Copied from the invoice..... I might try a generic patch, but I would much rather just have the CPUID patch with the Extensions and Anti-TPM. That is all I need. EDIT: Where can I get all the patches I might need? Im going to try a load of different combinations, but im not sure where to get them all from, because not all of the have specific websites like Maxxuss Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5722-need-help-desperately-on-8f1111/#findComment-36388 Share on other sites
