Hello, before I ask my question, I would also to use my first post to thank this community and all of the help I've already received from everyone!

On to the topic...

I can successfully install OSX (8F1099) natively from the install DVD. However, once install is complete, Darwin will not load from my hard disk. The only way I can boot into OSX is if I have the install disk in my DVD-ROM, and allow Darwin to load from the DVD. Then after Darwin times out, OSX loads as normal from my hard disk. Is there anyway Darwin can be fixed so it will successfully load from my hard disk without the use of the install DVD? Thanks in advance

edit: typo in my title..supposed to be boot, not book.

UPDATE:

I successfully installed 8F1111. Unforunately, it didn't fix the problem. Darwin still isn't loading from the hard drive. I didn't have any problems like this for 10.4.1... :D

I have Windows setup on my first partition. On the second partition, I have OSX. When I installed 10.4.1, Darwin automatically picked up Windows and I could boot to either OS from there. With 10.4.3, the DVD has to be in the drive, even if I select OSX to be the active disk in the Startup Disk utility.

thanks for the reply autoy. I actually set the active partition in MacOSX (was able to boot into OSX because DVD was in the drive) using the Startup Disk utility to the Windows partition hoping the chain0 would work, and when I get to the Windows Boot Menu at boot, I'll select my OSX installation with the entry I made in the boot.ini, and it'll just bring me back to the Windows Boot Menu  I know I didn't make any errors in creating the chain0 setup, because it worked perfectly with 10.4.1. Just for some reason, there's no Darwin loader with either of the 10.4.3's I've tried :(

ps. now that i set Windows as the bootable disk, I have no access to OSX, even with the DVD in the drive.
