SpeedfreaK
i have an old powerbook duo 250 with 24 megabytes of ram, 200 mb hard disk and no disk drive now it runs 7.1 , but i wan't to upgrade it i have an os 8.6 cd but apparently it's only for g3 macs :s and i'm sure that older macs can run that os 8 ! so when i accessed that cd trough network (the cd is in a performa 5300 running os 7.5) and i clicked on install mac os 8.6 i got the error 192 i also have a mac os 9 cd, but i think that won't work is it possible to run mac os 8 on it (and i think it is, because it has enough memory) and which installation cd is necessary to install it? Chest12
The newest OS you can run on your pb 250 is 7.6.1. I got this info from Apple History. So it is a waste of time tring to install any other OS.
