It was about 6 months old wen i installed Leopard on the sunday after it was released. It was also a toshiba, i bought it cus it was cheap.

I got home from school today put some simpsons on that were on my external drive got to about 4mins on the first episode then it stopped responding. For the past several day time machine has been failing to update i thought it was because my system had been up for 25days but wasn't. So do you think Time Machine lead to early death of my external drive because of having to leave it on 24/7? D.

Hi installed via your guide thanks. However It comes up with the screen telling to press the power button Any ideas why? I have a Vostro 1400 and it has the Nvidia 8400gs. I am really stuck i have tried many different versions of iAtkos but this is the only 1 that works because it installs a bootloader. i can boot in to the single user session thingy that is a terminal. Im wondering if i install 10.5 on my Vostro 1400 will i be able to partition the Hard drive with Boot camp to run windows for COD4 and some other stuff? Thanks in advance D.

I bought my Mini as a referb. On the box it says 1.42ghz but it got upgraded to 1 of the 1.5ghz and i have never had a problem with it. Everything was there even a copy of ilife 06 when it wasn't supposed to so yeah i would buy another one. D.

Yes should be delivered by the 1st August. And i have already said that the ram wants upgrading just £120 for 2gb is a rip off so im ordering separately.

My Powerbook finally died so me and my brother thought it would be best if i ordered a Dell Vostro. Did i make a good choice or should i choose a macbook and waited for it. I ordered a farly good spec core 2 duo 1gb ram and only £350 thats wat made it tempting to me. Did i make a good choice? Are there any people that own vostros out there if so what are they like? My new laptop is on order decided not to get another mac yet try another dell. Its coming with that thing called vista(what is it im an OS X user). I don't know wat linux distro to install on my new laptop im really stuck. On the clusters at work they use opensolaris in the lab next door debian and on the machine they supply redhat, so what to go? Will this laptop run OS X? Thanks in Advance D.

Great Mod! Have you thought of putting Leopard on it if you do could you let me know what it is like as i have a Pismo(but no power adapter as of yet). It has a terrible spec base model 400mhz 6gb HDD and 64mb of ram so i am really interested in what you have done. Is Tiger fast or sluggish? Was the upgrade expensive because if it was fairly cheap i will buy a power adapter for it and start using it as my PB G4 had a hard Drive Failure:( it had a Xbench rating of 48 and my Mac Mini had a rating of 22.51. Download G4FanControl and change the threshold to its lowest and see if its the fan or whether its threshold was just to high. if u click on the link that i have supplied then you can download it with out paying for it as its V0.5 not 0.6 D.

Yep ur right u do need a corporate account. Microsoft need 2 pull there socks and make the features more useful as it is so far behind MSN messenger for Winblows. The features that they have added for personal accounts weren't rele worth the upgrade. I recommend the Sennheiser CX300 there amazing and small. I broke my last set by treading on the left headphone. I loved them they are comfortable once you get used to in-ears.
