iSkylla
Possibly. Personally, I've had the most luck with the latest JaS 10.4.8 DVD but the Uphuck has many more pre-installed driver and patch options. The only way you will know is if you try it. Macshiba
Agreed. Your HDD is pretty big, try making a seperate partition just to test it. But, alot of problems have happend with SATA drives, so that might cause you problems. Also if your chipset is an nForce that will be really screwy for you also. Just try it, on a test partition, and hope it works. If it doesn't, try 10.4.8, and if that doesn't work go to 10.4.6.

boinkytwo
if you got IDE, then install osx with it. If you got it installed, then thats the time you look for remedies for your sata.

Hi, I wouldn't worry much about using SATA drives (I've had success with 2 different desktops Intel & Amd and JaS 10.4.8 installed successfully on both)..However, I'd agree with Macshiba re the nForce chip as I couldn't boot to the OSX after a full successful installation on the AMD set-up. Good luck & hope all goes well.. Collar
