glassJAw
What distro do you guys use under Parallels that isn't intense. openSuse causes my Macbook to have it's fans on the whole time and that makes me uncomfortable. OpenSUSE with KDE is a no-no for limited resources. Debian with Xfce4 could be an ideal choice. Consider also Slackware and derivatives (SLAX, Vector,Zenwalk...) Also, plenty of RAM is a must for virtualization. onlinebacon
You might want to use something like slackware, which is pretty light, or maybe a BSD like Freebsd Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/54930-a-light-linuxunix-distro-that-wont-cause-my-fans-to-go-nuts/#findComment-393495 Share on other sites
