Hi guys,

I'm facing the following problem: I'm connecting a 13 inch MacBook to a 32 inch LCD TV through the analogue DVI plug on the side. The TV supports 1360x768, but the MacBook outputs only up to 1280x768, which makes my movies a bit stretched (I have black lines on top and bottom on 16:9 movies).

Is there a way to manually set 1360x768? Also, how can I turn off the MacBook display and have just the TV screen running (right now I just turn down the backlight all the way, but I see that the screen is still running)? Thank you guys!

no, because the 1280 is narrower than 1360 and therefore it's relatively taller (hight stays at 768). That's why I get the lines on top and bottom.

anyways, I managed to get 1360, but only when I turn off mirroring. I still want to have the laptop display off tough.... any ideas how..?
