These Patches are for 8f1111

This is for sse3 and sse2 users. It is meant to be an all in one dvd iso ppf patcher to get your system up and running (note I didn't say running flawless).

You do not need the java boot loader patches or any patches other then this ppf to get the dvd booting and installing on your system.

The Extensions.mkext has the support you need to get the dvd to boot and install.

Here is the after install support that is included

ApplePS2Controller (keyboard, mouse, trackpad),

AppleGenericPCATA.kext,

AppleOnboardPCATA.kext (with NForce deviceIDs),

AppleVIAATA.kext (thanks to parch),

AppleAC97Audio.kext (with NForce deviceIDs) and Maxxuss VMWare Sound Driver)

Maxxuss VMWare Network Driver

Thanks Maxxuss for the patches and all the hard work.

Good Luck and don't flame me if this doesnt work for you.

It should also be noted that the sse3 emulation is only used if sse3 is not present in the cpu(so if you have a sse3 cpu the kernel doesnt use the emulation )

thanks JaS for the package.

When I applied it to my DVD it booted to a blue screen.

I looked at the DVD iso again and could not find the /system/library/extensions.mkext file or the extensions folder. should they have been on the DVD 8f1111 iso after applying the ppf?

I'm in the process of re-burning with extensions.mkext added....

Hmmmm yes they should have .. did you patch the iso before you applied my ppf?

yeah I had issues with ppf-o-matic on mac os x it kept closing on me so what I did was click on the ppf file and ppf-o-matic would openwith the ppf patch alread selected, then I could pick the iso and patch it without ppf-o-matic crashing.

hope this helps

Thanks, JaS ! ^^

I am installing the 8f1111 on vmware5.5

I just got 8F1111 working on my system thanks to JaS. Specs are:

HP Pavilion zd8225 Media Center Laptop

3.2Ghz P4 HT 640 w/SSE3, 800Mhz FSB

1Gb Dual 533 Ram

ATI X600 128Mb Radion Mobility Graphics

100Gb HD (One partion Mac OS only)

Dual Layer LightScribe DVD

Firewire, USB 2.0 6-1 card reader

PC Card & PC Express/54

1440x900 Display (haven't got that running yet, still at 1024x768 :-(

Intalled with 8F1111 dmg converted to ISO then applyed the WesleyPatch 1.1 ppf. Re-formatted the HD then did a clean install without the extra drivers and it works fine. No audio, 1024x768 only withoud CoreImage or QDExtreme , but everything else is ok so far.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to get the 1440x900 and Coreimage QDEXtreme working??

thanks so much JaS, Maxxuss and Wesley!!

I'm downloading right now. I'll try it out and let you know if these work. So far I haven't been successful with an 8f1111 with my machine, except for the SSE3 emulation.

Wow! It works! I'm typing this in 8f1111 right now!

Question for you JaS... how can I verify which kernel it is using? (ie: SSE3, SSE3 emulation, etc.?)

Thanks for all your hard work! (And especially a thanks to Maxxuss, without whom we wouldn't even have these patches!)

I'm having problem with my mouse and keyboard.

Converted *.dmg to *.iso and patched with ppf, installed nativly, everything works fine exept my mouse and keyboard doesn't work either in PS2 or USB ( I have a logitec cordeless deluxe wich can be run in both using an usb to ps2 adapter). The Keyboard worked fine in 10.4.1 .. and oh, I formatted the osx drive before installing so no upgrade.

system specs;

P4 prescott 3,2 ghz

Abit IC7 mobo chipset 875P

dual boot with xp and osx in different partitions on a sata drive..

after a lot of reboots my mouse worked in PS2 and I was just about to select wich language my keybord was when it all freezed, can have something to do with that i pressed a key on my keybord, thats when i frooze up, after reboot it didn't work again..

Problems with appleps2controller.kext? any idea what I should do?

[edit: happened to reply to microsoftbob, this should go in the original thread. Mbob; it shore does work, just remember to select erase and install instead of upgrade, and don't forget to change the boot order afterwards and replace the chain0 file if you use that method]
