I am dual booting XP/Vista/OS X

and everything was working with my JaS 10.4.8 on AMD

then i switched to uphuck's v1.3 release, and after the full install and reboot

when the darwin boot loader shows up, and i chose to boot os x, the screen flashes and nothing happens...

Any reasons why this is happening?

I tried stwiching back to JaS and the darwin boot loader works, but i need 10.4.9 for FCS2

Ive tried -x, -v, ?...I get nothing as well.

Ive also tried installing different kernel packages and get nothing different in the end. I must have tried to install this DVD atleast 20-30 times already. Ive tried changing all kinds of different things with the MBR and partition. Still, I cannot get past this screen.

Is there ANYONE that can help us?!

I had the same problem.

Do you get the windows bootloader menu again and again? try to hit enter and then immediately F8 to get the darwin boot menu, select OS X and there you go...

This can occur if the default boot system in Darwin is windows with a 0 delay. Hte you get the windows boot menu instantly.

I dont get any Windows boot loader menu...as I only have 1 hard drive and 1 partition. Im just trying to get OSx86 on this machine by itself before I start trying to setup a dual boot situation.

Is there not anyone that can help us with this?

Please write ur harware specs..

For the Last time.. People with Jmicron Sata.. U might experiance Problems booting..

This is a known issue, not related to the Uphuck DVD series... Its a General OSX problem with the v10.4.9

I suggest you try the Latest 10.4.8 Jas DVD.. for 10.4.9 we will keep you informed about Jmicron.

its being worked on..

I have the exact same problem, install went fine on my Samsung X20 III Notebook, but bootscreen is as far as I can get after installation, any solutions so far?

Hardware:

- Intel® Pentium® M Prozessor 740, 1,73 GHz 2 MB Cache 533 MHz FSB

- 2048 MB RAM DDR2

- 80GB IDE 2.5" HDD

- Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 900

- 15" SXGA+ TFT/1.400 x 1.050

Okay I've got it, its pretty simple...

I feel like a nuthead

This problem only occurs when you chose more than one kernel.

ex. so don't chose a Intel SSE#/AND SSE# with an Universal Kernel

o really lol...i feel stupid, which one should we choose then the 3rd kernal or the first one without lettering?
